The Detox Power of our Infrared Sauna

Our Grace Sunlighten Infrared Sauna uses the latest technology on the market to provide you with a powerful way to safely detox. This relaxing sauna treatment uses healing infrared rays that are similar to the rays of our sun, but without UV radiation. They penetrate the body at 1 1/2-3 inches, allowing for increased circulation, metabolism, and detoxification through the excretion of sweat throughout the body. Not only this, but the heat from the infrared rays provides incredible soothing relief for aches, pain, and tension. ​

The overall detoxification process provided by our sauna is crucial in assisting the body with healing. As the toxins are released from deep in our pores through perspiration, the increase in blood circulation is simultaneously delivering fresh nutrients to the surface of our skin. This process is a perfect example of allowing the body to heal from within!

​Since opening Grace in 2020, it has always been our intention to provide you with more than just movement. Whether you've taken yoga, Pilates and Eldoa classes or enjoyed private sessions at our studio, you know our passion is to offer therapeutic and nourishing practices to help you be the healthiest you. This is why it made perfect sense for us to add an infrared sauna to our regular offerings at Grace. The benefits of this modality are numerous and compliment the practice of yoga and Pilates perfectly.

Contraindications: Use of the Infrared Sauna is not recommended during pregnancy. Not recommended for anyone who has had recent heart problems or heart attack, have severe artery disease, diagnosis of Anhidrosis or any other medical condition that can cause client not to sweat or handle high temperatures.

Client must provide doctors note to use the Sauna if they have any of the above contraindications.

INFRARED SESSION FAQ

HOW LONG IS AN INFRARED SESSION?

When you book an Infrared Sauna Session, you will have 30 minutes to enjoy the sauna.  It takes most people at least a few sessions to build up to that length.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

We recommend bringing 2 beach towels per person to sit/lay on.  We have towels to rent if you forget yours. You may also bring your water bottle. Cell phones may be brought in the sauna but warning, they may overheat.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN THE SAUNA AT ONE TIME?

Our Infrared Saunas can accommodate 3 people, however the appointments are for one person only.  It is up to you if you choose to share your appointment with a friend for an additional $10.

WHO SHOULD AVOID INFRARED SAUNAS?

Contraindications for infrared saunas are Pregnancy,  Extremely Heat Sensitive Persons & Hemophilia.  Persons with Pacemakers should check with their doctor prior to using sauna.  If you have further questions about a specific condition, please contact your doctor.

WHEN SHOULD I SAUNA?

Saunas are a great things to do at any time of the day.  Our recommendation is that you take the sauna as a stand alone visit to Grace or after a class.

SHOULD I SHOWER RIGHT AFTER MY SESSION?

No. It’s best to wait at least 30 minutes to get a shower. Your body continues to detox after your session.
